Want to be involved with this year’s Walk Indiana, which will be Saturday, September 10th, 2016? We have plenty of opportunities for you to help. Here are a few:
Check-in volunteers: These volunteers will check walkers in the night before and the morning of the event. They will hand out bags and T-shirts and other information.
Comfort stop volunteers: These volunteers will operate the rest stops, dispersing beverages and food to participants. Ideally, we would like pre-organized groups for this area such as nonprofits, youth groups and families. (The food and drink is provided.)
Course set-up/tear down: Volunteer to help set-up/ tear down the mile markers, tents and tables.
Bike patrol: Bike throughout the course to make sure the participants are OK, see if they need anything, pick up garbage along the course.
Bag stuffing: The week before the event, these volunteers will help stuff sports bag with course info.
Clean-up: In charge of cleaning up the Wysor Depot area.
